Horchata - Try this traditional Mexican drink - delicious, refreshing & healthy too! And a hit with vegans!
½ cup white rice
2 ½ cup water
¼ cup milk
1 tsp vanilla essence
½ tsp ground cinnamon
¼ cup powdered sugar
· Pour the rice and half water in a blender ad blend until the rice break.
· Add the remaining water and blend once again.
· Let the rice and water stand at room temperature for 4hrs or in fridge overnight.
· Strain the water and add milk, vanilla, cinnamon and sugar.
· Mix it well.
· Chill and stir well before serving.
You can make Horchata vegan by using nut milk instead of dairy milk
